About Laura

I don’t like labels, but in 2004 a number of specialists gave me the label Multiple Sclerosis. There’s no doubt that conditions in my body were changing and are still changing today.  Before the changes that led to that label, I juggled a hectic and profitable career as a self-employed risk management consultant, working from home so that I could raise my two young children myself rather than delegate that job to others.  I volunteered in my community and for spiritual organizations.  I spent the free time I had living vigorously in my body — enjoying yoga, dancing, power walking and gardening.

I believed I did all those things successfully.
